Biologic and Abiotic Factors Regulate Dissolved Organic Nitrogen With Low and High Nutrient Concentrations on Tibetan Plateau, Respectively

چکیده

Although dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) plays an important role in the dynamic processes of mineralization, fixation, and leaching, ecological driving forces DON across Tibetan Plateau remain largely unknown. Here, we measured climate, soil, plant indicators, concentration on Plateau, used “change-point” analysis to determine patterns. Then correlation was applied analyze relationship between each index. Finally, structural equation modelling (SEM) is explain overall effect environmental factors. Our results showed that two patterns were presented is, low-DON (5.43 g/mg) high-DON (16.36 In pattern, biologic factors such as microbial carbon, nitrogen, productivity main influencing concentration. strongly governed by hydrothermal synchronization superior soil environment. This study can help us have a more comprehensive understanding response mechanism soluble pool alpine ecosystems under climate change.

Temporal Variations of Fire Effects on Dissolved Nutrient Concentrations and Runoff amount in Zrebar Lake Watershed

Fire causes destructive effects on soil, water and components of wetland ecosystems. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of fire on runoff amount and nutrient concentration of Zrebar Lake watershed between 2014 and 2017 and the return of burned areas to their natural conditions in the short, medium and long term. The results showed that in the fourth year after the fire, the am...

Source and biolability of ancient dissolved organic matter in glacier and lake ecosystems on the Tibetan Plateau

The Tibetan Plateau is the world’s largest and highest plateau and holds the largest mass of ice on Earth outside the icesheets of Greenland and Antarctica, as well as abundant lakes. This study examined the molecular and isotopic signatures of dissolved organic matter (DOM) along with its biolability in glacier ice, glacier-fed streams, and alpine lakes on the Tibetan Plateau. The aim was to a...

Aged dissolved organic carbon exported from rivers of the Tibetan Plateau

The role played by river networks in regional and global carbon cycle is receiving increasing attention. Despite the potential of radiocarbon measurements (14C) to elucidate sources and cycling of different riverine carbon pools, there remain large regions such as the climate-sensitive Tibetan Plateau for which no data are available. Here we provide new 14C data on dissolved organic carbon (DOC...

Concentration, sources and light absorption characteristics of dissolved organic carbon on a medium-sized valley glacier, northern Tibetan Plateau

Light-absorbing dissolved organic carbon (DOC) constitutes a major part of the organic carbon in glacierized regions, and has important influences on the carbon cycle and radiative forcing of glaciers. However, few DOC data are currently available from the glacierized regions of the Tibetan Plateau (TP). In this study, DOC characteristics of a mediumsized valley glacier (Laohugou Glacier No. 12...
